    Closures & Maintenance

Please note only upcoming or active maintenance or closures are listed below. If nothing is listed, that trail is fully open.

    • The Illinois Prairie Path is closed at the intersection of Indian Trail at High Street. Intersection improvements requiring utility coordination have eliminated the accessibility of the Illinois Prairie Path at that intersection until further notice. No alternate trail route is available at this time. We will update as the project continues. We apologize for any inconvenience.
    • Necessary utility work shall continue along the Fox River Trail West but the trail is open. Please use caution when navigating the trail as some areas have been temporarily placed back as gravel patch. Walk your bike in these areas and be alert for changing trail conditions.  Permanent asphalt patches will be installed and turf restoration will be completed in the coming weeks. Thank you for your patience.
    • Trail crossing improvements shall cause the Virgil Gilman Trail to be closed at Montgomery Road between Jackson St. and S. Union St. for the next several weeks. Project is active through October. No alternate bike route is available.
