The Fox Valley Park District (FVPD) is announcing its intent to widen and surface the Aurora branch of the Illinois Prairie Path in the City of Aurora, Kane County, Illinois. The Illinois Prairie Path improvement will extend from Indian Trail for 2.16 miles to the boundary of the DuPage County line. The project will consist of the widening of the existing 8-foot wide multi-use aggregate path to 10-feet wide and surfacing with Hot-Mix Asphalt. The project will include minimal tree, vegetation, and wetland impacts. The Park District has received Illinois Transportation Enhancement Program funds to assist in funding of the path widening and surfacing.

The public is invited to comment on this proposed project. Written comments may be mailed or submitted electronically to the FVPD office. Comments must be received by October 11, 2019 to be considered as a part of the public record and should be directed to:
