In the fall of 2013, the Fox Valley Park District partnered with Leisure Vision, a public policy market research firm, to develop and administer a community-wide survey to gather usage and satisfaction statistics for current parks and facilities and to determine priorities for the District.
Leisure Vision worked extensively with the Fox Valley Park District in the development of a seven-page survey questionnaire. The survey was tailored to issues of strategic importance to effectively plan for the future.
The survey was mailed to a random sample of 6,000 households within the Fox Valley Park District. The goal was to obtain at least 1,500 completed surveys and a total of 1,641 surveys were completed. The results of the random sample of 1,641 households have a 95% level of confidence with a precision of at least +/-2.4%.
