Summer 2017 just got a lot cooler at Martin Luther King Park. Located at the intersection of N Farnsworth Ave. and Grand Blvd., MLK park features a baseball diamond, a basketball court, a playground, and a pavilion with picnic tables.
The newest addition to this popular park is a free splash pad! The newly constructed splash pad opened to the public in early June and is open daily from 10 am to 8 pm. You are welcome to cool off at the splash pad after a baseball game or a picnic at the pavilion on a hot day.
This zero depth splash pad has two benches located on the perimeter of the circle for parents to sit and relax while their children play with the water. To activate the splash pad, children can press the green top of the blue post to spray the water out of the nozzles all around the circle. It’s simple and kid-friendly; there are no age limits on this site!
