      Kid’s Karate Club has gone virtual! In this year-round progressive martial arts program with belt progression through black belt, students are encouraged to have fun as they learn the basics of karate, self-defense, sparring, kata and children’s safety. After registration, participants will be emailed links to the class videos. The eight-week class will be sent 12 videos. The one-week class will be sent 2 videos. Videos are prerecorded and can be watched at any time.

      Tai Chi is a unique way of exercising through graceful, slow, smooth and flowing movements. Follow a routine designed to free minds and bodies of stress.       This online class, taught by Waubonsee Community College Esports Head Coach Jarod Ericksen, will aim to educate youth on a number of topics surrounding the Esports community. Conversations about how favorite Esports pros and Twitch Streamers are able to do what they love. Children will learn the importance of managing their game time at home and not spending all of their free time playing video games. Participants will be educated on how much work goes into becoming a pro gamer and/or content creator. Participants will be involved in engaging activities related to different career paths available in the Esports community. Discussions about practice habits and importance of physical wellness will also be an important topic.

      This online course, taught by Waubonsee Community College Esports Head Coach Jarod Ericksen, will aim to educate parents on the viability of the Esports industry and its likely continued growth into the future. Topics will include potential routes into Esports careers, managing your young Esports athlete, implementing effective practice habits, pathways to collegiate athletics, opportunities available to your children in the Esports industry, plus more.

      Worried about your child not being “ready” for Kindergarten? We’ve got the class for you! This 5-week fun and learning filled class will be structured around the Illinois Early Learning Standards covering all learning domains from language arts to social and emotional skills through a 45-minute Zoom class meeting. This will enable the students to interact with each other as well as the teacher, Ms. Buscher. Activities will include a group learning time with the basic skills being covered as well as a hands-on activity each day. There will be an art supply pick up at Eola at the end of June and another pick-up two to three weeks into the class. You will also be notified of other supplies that you will need to gather for the activities.

      Fox Valley Gymnastics will be offering 30-minute private lessons Monday through Thursday starting July 13. One-on-one private lessons achieve the goal of social distancing while allowing for continued progress by the gymnast. Private Gymnastics Lessons must be prepaid online 48 hours before lesson takes place. Once registration is received you will be emailed additional information. Private gymnastics lessons are not subject to refund however, can be rescheduled if notified 24 hours prior to scheduled lesson. Illinois COVID phase guidelines and protocols will be followed.
