The VAC Indoor Water Park is closed for following times: • M-F (May 22-26 & 29), 4 to 8 p.m.; Tu/Th (May 23 & 25), 9 to 11 a.m.; • Sat-Sun (May 27-28), noon to 5 p.m. • Therapy and competition pools open regular hours. • Birthday parties and after hour rentals run as planned.

Open gyms, spring break camps, egg hunts an indoor water park and a big running event for all at Blackberry Farm – there’s no shortage of festive fun this spring:  

Spring Break Camps

Spring Blast Camp: This week-long extravaganza is available at Eola and Vaughan for ages 6 to 11. Campers will enjoy recreational games, sports, arts, crafts and other activities. Vaughan campers should bring a swimsuit and towel every day to swim.

Partial Sports Camps: Chess Scholars, Let’s Build It, Basketball Fundamentals and Dodge Ball (all at Eola), STEM (Eola, Prisco, Vaughan) and Red Oak Adventures (Red Oak Nature Center).

Vaughan Athletic Center
Indoor Water Park open extended hours

From March 27 through 31, the water park will be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day. Daily admission for students is $6 (R) / $8 (N).

Open Gym x 3 = Get in on the action!

Open gym time is available at all three Park District community centers – Prisco, Eola and Vaughan. Select hours are available for basketball, volleyball, pickleball and table tennis. Players must obtain a Fox Valley Park District ID to participate in open gym programs.

Batting Cages at Eola, Vaughan and Prisco

Batting cages may be rented by the hour and are equipped with a manual pitching machine with adjustable speeds. These provide great practice for baseball and softball teams, from youth players to adult. Balls are provided, but players should bring their own bats and helmets. Vaughan also has temporary mounds that can be used for pitching practice. Batting cages are also a great indoor practice alternative for golf!

Barnyard Dash 5K 

Celebrate the spring season and run or walk this scenic, CARA-certified trail race around beautiful Blackberry Farm. This unique combo event features a 5K race starting at 8:30 a.m. and a shorter Pig Pen 1-miler at 9:45 a.m.

Barnyard Dash 5K: $29 early bird ($25 FVPD fitness members/CARA members);
$34 day-of ($30 CARA): Code 462401-01
Pig Pen 1-miler: $15; $20 day-of (Code 462401-03)
Families are encouraged to sign up for the Pig Pen 1-miler with children ages 5 and up.

Community-Wide Service Day

Calling all volunteers- Get your service hours here! Scout groups, church groups, students, friends and families are invited to help with various service projects including river and local parks clean-up and more throughout the community. This event is in cooperation with Kiwanis One Day.

Egg-Streme Egg Hunt

Crawl, bounce, jump and run through Vaughan Athletic Center’s Egg-Streme Egg Hunt! Collect eggs through completing age-appropriate obstacles. Parents- compete in the parent bracket and join the fun with your little ones cheering you on!
