Serving the communities of Aurora, Montgomery and North Aurora, the District maintains 168 parks and
48 miles of inter-connected regional trails amid 2,500 acres of parkland. Connected by the Fox River, our

The Fox Valley Park District and the City of Aurora are co-owners of Splash Country Water Park and Phillips Park Family Aquatic Center through an intergovernmental agreement established in 1989. The five-member Aquatic Administrative Board oversees the policies, annual initiatives and budget.
Board of Commissioners
The Fox Valley Park District is governed by a seven-member Board of Commissioners, which is elected by District residents and approves all policy and financial decisions, and also appoints the Executive Director, along with the Park District attorney and auditors. The Board holds its public meeting on the second Monday of each month at 6 p.m. at the Prisco Community Center, 150 W. Illinois Ave., Aurora, unless otherwise noted. More…

Community Needs Assessment
In the fall of 2013, the Fox Valley Park District conducted a community-wide survey to gather usage and satisfaction statistics for current parks and facilities and to determine priorities for the District. The survey was mailed to a random sample of 6,000 households within the District. More…

The Foundation is an IRS 501(c)(3) organization established in 1981 as a not-for-profit corporation to help benefit Fox Valley Park District residents. The Foundation Board is comprised of Park District Commissioners and members from the community at large. More…
Freedom of Information Act (FOIA)
The Fox Valley Park District makes every effort to comply with the State of Illinois Public Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), which states that all persons are entitled to full and complete information regarding the affairs of government and the official acts and policies of those who represent them as public officials and public employees.
