With the aid of funding by federal and state grants administered by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources, the Fox Valley Park District has developed a network of more than 40 miles of premier trails including the Fox River Trail East and West, the Virgil L. Gilman Trail, Waubonsie Creek Trail and the Aurora Branch of the Illinois Prairie Path. This funding has made possible a system of trails that tap into companion trail networks that traverse the entire Chicago area. For more information, check out the downloable maps below.
