Before you register, all Paddlers must read and agree to the waiver below. Both paddlers must sign the waiver at the race check-in area on the day of the race.

Warning of Risk and Waiver and Release of All Claims: In consideration of the granting of my request to participate in a certain canoe race to be held on the Fox River at or near Aurora, Illinois, on Sunday, Sept. 28, 2008, sponsored by the Fox Valley Park District, I do hereby waive any claim for injury to my person or damage to my property that may arise out of any injury caused through any act of commmission or omission of the Fox Valley Park District, its officers, employees or agents. As such participant, I undertake to assume the risk of all dangerous conditions in or about said canoe race and the premises used in connection therewith, and I waive notice of the existence of any such condition at any place or at any time. As a participant, I am aware that there is still a risk of serious injury and that the Fox Valley Park District cannot guarantee safety. In further consideration of such permission to participate in said race, I hereby release the Fox Valley Park District, their officers, employees and agents from any claim which I may have of any nature whatsoever  on account of any injury to my person or damage to my property which may be sustained or incurred in connection with, or arising out of my participation in said canoe race. The undersigned has read and fully understands every word of this release and waiver:
